Moira is currently undergoing training to become a Therapy Dog so she can be certified to work alongside her Dad in sessions as well as being able to visit hospitals and nursing homes in the community.

Within the community, "Francesco Rizzo-Duffy is the epitome of the “everyday activist” and an advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights. Despite having experienced challenges as a gay teen, Francesco wrote to his Senator in support of the Equality Act, identifying himself as a gay man from New Jersey, living with his (then) fiancé, and then posted that letter to his professional Instagram account. He went on to share their backyard wedding with the local media, inspiring others to live their lives openly and honestly. He occasionally makes PB&J sandwiches, and brings them to unhoused people at Newark Penn Station, volunteers with the Community FoodBank of NJ, and has raised money for many charities over the years including Human Rights Campaign, American Cancer Society, Broadway Cares, and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals among others." Francesco was recognized for his efforts by receiving the 'Outstanding Community Human Rights Activist' award in March 2022 at the 14th Annual Human Rights Conference at Kean University.

Moira (good girl/pretty girl) is an F1B Goldendoodle. She was born in September of 2020 in South Carolina. This Southern Belle arrived at her forever home to live with her Dads that December. She is named Moira after a character from one of their absolute favorite shows, “Schitt’s Creek.” She has brought so much joy, laughter, and fun to their lives. Her sweet, friendly, and calm temperament makes her perfect to be around other people and animals in a soothing and loving way. For this reason, her 'Paw-thers' have begun the process of certifying her to be a licensed therapy dog to be able to share her gentleness and love with others who need it. Moira loves long walks on the beach, playing fetch, cuddling, swimming, and enjoys all safe fruits and vegetables - but especially loves peanut butter. Moira is usually present during sessions making sure you and Francesco are staying on task while being the great supervisor she is.

Life is challenging, and so is change.

I understand this from my work as a therapist, and I recognize it from my own personal experience as a client. I thus consider it an honor to be your first step toward change, personal growth, and healing.

I commend your courage and vision of a bigger life and for not settling for less.

My mission is to support you every step of the way, shattering the stigma and labels associated with mental health.
